13.6Keeping answers: conversations, knowledge and documents
When you receive an answer from Ask Bmator, you can keep it in three ways, ordered from lightest to heaviest: in your automatic chat history, as part of your workspace's knowledge base, or as a standalone document in your Library.
Automatic chat history
Every conversation is saved automatically. The Conversations page provides a searchable list of every conversation you have had with Ask Bmator, across all your workspaces. If you have not started any conversations, the page displays: "No conversations yet."
To pick up an earlier thread:
- Open Conversations.
- Search or browse for the relevant conversation.
- Open the conversation to continue it where you left off.
Adding answers to workspace knowledge
By default, an answer stays in your chat history only. You can promote an answer so that future answers in the workspace can reference it.
To share an answer across the workspace:
- Select Add to my knowledge on the answer.
- Once selected, future answers can cite this answer as part of the workspace's knowledge.
- Untick Add to my knowledge at any time to remove the answer from workspace knowledge.
Saving answers as Library documents
For the heaviest form of retention, you can store an answer as an independent document in your Library.
To save an answer to a folder:
- Select Save to folder… on the answer.
- Choose the folder in your Library where the document will be saved.
The default folder for saved answers is remembered per workspace for future use.
