14.2Security and API keys
Platform
Manage account protection settings and API credentials to safeguard access to Bmator.
Security
Under Security, change your password and set up two-factor authentication with an authenticator app to protect your account.
Change password
- Go to Security.
- Select Change password.
- Enter your current credentials and provide a new password.
Two-factor authentication
Add an extra layer of protection using an authenticator app:
- Navigate to Two-factor authentication.
- Select Configure 2FA.
- Follow the instructions using your authenticator app to finish setting up two-factor authentication.
API keys
API keys contains keys that let scripts and integrations call the Bmator API as you. Each grants the same access as your account: keep them like passwords, and revoke one you no longer use. Every key says how many calls it has made today and this month, so you can tell which one is still in use before you revoke it.
Creating and managing keys
- Open API keys.
- If you do not have any keys, the page displays No API keys yet.
- Select New API key to generate a key.
- View created keys under Your keys.
- Review the call counts today and this month before choosing to revoke any key you no longer use.
