Only project managers see Settings. This page manages the project details, working schedule, statuses, calendar, and project lifecycle.

Project details and schedule

In Settings, configure the project's basic information and timeline:

  • The project's name and description.
  • The start date and target date. The target date is a commitment to finish by; the project's own dates do not move when work slips so you can see the gap.
  • Who can see it: controls visibility. Everyone in the workspace can read a workspace project, whereas only the people it is shared with can see a private project.
  • Working days and Hours in a working day: durations count in working days and these specific hours. For example, three days of work starting on a Friday end on the following Tuesday in a Monday-to-Friday schedule.

Days off

Days off represent dates when nobody works on the project, such as office closures. Calculated dates skip these days just like a weekend. A work item whose dates were already set keeps them until somebody moves it.

To manage days off:

  1. Select Add a day off.
  2. Enter the date and what it is.
  3. Remove a day off at once if the date is no longer observed.

Statuses

Under Statuses, configure the stages work items move through. Each status has a name, a chosen colour, and an underlying meaning: not started, in progress, in review, done, or cancelled. Progress tracking, overdue calculations, and the review step read this meaning.

You can reorder statuses or configure the following:

  • New items start here: assign this to one not-started status to set where new work items begin.
  • Deleting a status: if you delete a status that currently contains work items, you are asked where those items should move.
  • Use for new projects: workspace admins can use this option to make the current statuses the default set for every new project in the workspace. Existing projects keep their own statuses. This action requires confirmation before it applies.

Project calendar

Under Project calendar, you can establish a dedicated calendar for the project.

  1. Select Create the calendar.
  2. Once created, the page names the calendar. It is shared with the project's people: those who can change project work can add events, while others have read access. Its sharing updates automatically whenever people are added to or removed from the project.

Archiving and deleting

At the end of a project's lifecycle, project managers or owners can update its state:

  • Archive the project: moves the project out of the active list while keeping all its work. The project takes no new work items until it is reopened.
  • Delete the project: available only to the project owner. Selecting this permanently deletes the project, its work items, checklists, and comments. Any documents and folders stored in the Library remain intact.
