8.5Saving an Ask answer or an email as a note

Available in:EnglishFrançais

You can turn answers from Ask Bmator and incoming email messages into notes without copying and pasting content manually.

Saving an answer from Ask Bmator

When Ask Bmator generates a response, you can store the entire reply directly in Notes.

  1. Locate the action to save as a note directly beneath the answer in Ask Bmator, next to the option to save to a folder.
  2. Click the action once to create the note.

The system creates a note titled after your question, containing the full answer with its original formatting preserved. After saving, the action changes to indicate it is saved as a note and automatically opens the new note. If you click this action on the same answer again, the system opens the existing note rather than creating a duplicate.

Saving an email message

You can also convert an email directly into a note from your message view.

  1. Open the email message.
  2. Select the option to save as a note located in the mail message toolbar.

The resulting note uses the email subject as its title and places the sender information and the date at the top of the body. Selecting this action on the same email message a second time opens the previously created note instead of generating a copy.

All notes saved from Ask Bmator or email appear alongside items created with New note on the main Notes page under Mine.
