7.4All documents and their conversion

The All documents view displays every document across all folders, allowing you to monitor file processing and conversion states.

Document conversion statuses

Each document displays its current state so you know when its contents are accessible:

• Ready: The file has been converted so search and Ask can read it.
• Converting…: The file is actively being processed.
• Failed: The file could not be read or converted.

Reprocessing failed files

You can filter on the status to identify items that encountered errors and run them through processing again.

1. Open All documents.
2. Filter by conversion status to isolate files marked as Failed.
3. Trigger the conversion again to process the items in bulk so that their status updates toward Ready.
